Description:
Completed in June of 1998, the first phase of this 19,255 s.f. church utilized a pre-engineered metal building system to keep the construction cost to under $55 per square foot.
The building is located on the 4.4 acre site to orient office and classroom windows toward nearby mountain views.
In order to accommodate the rapidly increasing congregation, an 18,000 s.f. addition was completed in 2008 to provide support spaces for the multi-purpose worship center. A generous fellowship lobby, office, classroom, youth center, nursery, kitchen and fellowship areas were built on three levels, all accessed by an elevator. The major portion of the expansion is toward the Tramway Boulevard side where the window wall of the entry lobby welcomes churchgoers.
The master plan calls for a 900 seat theater- style auditorium, additional lobby, classroom and fellowship spaces at a future date.
“ Any architect can build a building, but few can build a tool. Dorman and Breen Architects built a tool for our ministry. They listened to our needs.” -Chuck Kofahl, Senior Pastor
